Cryogenix is a website and community in active development. It stands for freedom of thought, expression, and information as well as individual liberty and privacy.

Beginning as a sub-project of CyberArmy our mission is to continue what CyberArmy started in 1998 through to the late 2000s, as well as acting as a sort of digital museum for the hacker culture of that period.

The Cryogenix backend is Free & Open Source Software under the AGPLv3 and we encourage all members to contribute, whether that is in the way of code, forum posts, or submitting articles.

The forum is a reimplementation of CyberArmy's Dinah forum which was based on the Mr Fong Device, a fork of the CGI Perl WWWBoard. It can take a bit of getting used to as its structure differs from popular web forums seen today; If you reply to a post with only a subject line and a blank body it becomes like a one-liner reply in the thread's tree.
